fabrics from photo albums|Hagar Ben efraim

Hagar Ben-Efraim Vaknin is new graduate of Shenkar textile department
The fabrics were developed in reference to personal photo albums, and the fabrics has a geometric nature in the spirit of the Art-Deco and the Biedermeier style.
The fabrics were woven using a jacquard loom, with polyester warp, and in combination with silk, cotton and elastic materials in the weft.

EDEN TZEIN is a young graduate of Shenkar college of fashion and textile, her words: "I began the process with testing of materials, in references to butterflies, their symbolic and visual nature. A world of constant cycles of change and rebirth.In this method i treated the materials and the hole creating process during the project. My translation to this was using different manipulations of "subtraction" like burn out And "addition" like embroidery and braiding.Various combination of these manipulations created pieces of image, feeling, and sensation.Through the shapes of these magical new materials an imagery of a human being was brought to life.The garment was created In this way, to become an image.

Keren Kop | Clementine orchard

Keren Kop is a fresh graduate from "Shenkar" college, textile department, major in printing and weaving design. Her work is built up as a collection of clothing that was designed with a Clementine orchard inspiration. The fabric planning is noticed as a whole and only one vertical stitch compose the whole outfit. The colorfulness was created by dipping the fabric in a unique pigment which reacts differently for each kind of fiber.
